Which device is right for me?

Your dermatology specialist will personalize treatments based on the severity of any skin conditions, your treatment preferences (including downtime), and your desired outcome. They will also ask about your aesthetic goals before creating a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.

What should I expect during procedures with energy-based devices?

Please avoid tanning (including self or spray tanner) before your treatment. At the time of treatment, we will clean your skin and numb the treatment area as needed. Your dermatology provider will use a specialized device to emit energy into targeted tissues while you rest. The length of your treatment depends on the size of the area. You might feel warmth or a rubber band snapping sensation. Eyewear will be provided for your safety, and treatment results will be documented with photographs.

What happens after procedures with medical devices?

Common side effects after energy-based device procedures include swelling, redness, or tenderness. Your dermatology specialist will determine if you need repeat treatments to ensure the best outcome and provide instructions on how to minimize any side effects of the treatment. It is important to minimize sun/ultraviolet exposure after treatment.
